A Saturday programme nurturing confident young Muslims through Islam, Qur'an reading with Tajweed, Hifz and Arabic learning.
Teaching and Learning at IQA Academy
At IQA Academy, education is an Amanah entrusted to parents, teachers and the wider community. The programme seeks to nurture the whole child: spiritually, morally, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our approach is rooted in a balanced Islamic tradition that promotes sound scholarship, moderation, character and positive relationships. Students are supported to develop a love for Allah, His Messenger ﷺ and the Qur'an while growing in confidence, knowledge and Islamic manners.
Islam
Islamic beliefs, worship, Seerah, Hadith, Akhlaq, du'as, Islamic history and daily practice.
Qur'an
Qur'an reading, Tajweed, correct pronunciation, recitation, memorisation and revision.
Arabic
Vocabulary, grammar and understanding Qur'anic language through structured progression.
Student Stages
Students are generally placed by age, with flexibility for Qur'an recitation ability where appropriate.
Ages 5-7
Makharij, Baghdadi Qa'idah and Hifz foundations.
Ages 8-10
Juz Amma recitation with Tajweed and Hifz.
Ages 11-13
Qur'an recitation with Tajweed and Hifz.
Ages 14-16
iGCSE Islamic Studies and/or Arabic Language preparation.
Ages 17-19
A-level Islamic Studies and/or Arabic Language preparation.
Fees
£100
Per child, per month. Fees are payable monthly in advance and secure the child's place.
Session Structure
Each Saturday session includes approximately 40 minutes each of Islam, Qur'an and Arabic. The teaching order may vary.
Safeguarding
The welfare of every child is paramount. Staff and volunteers follow safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection procedures.
Parent Partnership
Parents are the first educators of their children. IQA Academy works with families to reinforce Qur'an practice, Islamic manners, attendance, home learning and positive behaviour.
- Ensure regular and punctual attendance.
- Inform the Academy of absences where possible.
- Keep emergency and medical information up to date.
- Support homework, revision and respectful behaviour.
- Collect children promptly after lessons.
